Masoud Ariankhoo

Masoud is a PhD candidate in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. He received an MA in History from Stony Brook University, and an MTS in Islamic Studies from Harvard Divinity School. Masoud's research focuses on the character of the Devil in the formative period of Islamic thought within the genres of Quranic exegesis, collections of prophetic sayings, and Sufi literature. He has served as a teaching fellow at Harvard for courses on intellectual history, literature, and Sufism, as well as language courses on Persian and Arabic, and is the departmental pedagogy fellow at the Bok Center for the academic year 2022-23.

Since 2014, Masoud has also been trained at UCLA and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) to teach the Ontological / Phenomenological Model of leadership and pedagogy, which introduces a new model for teaching and research. He is also a professional vocalist in the Iranian traditional and fusion style, and  has recently been admitted to the Silk Road Global Musician Workshop at New England Conservatory.
