The Medieval Studies Library

About

The Medieval Studies Library is located on the third floor of Widener Library. It contains a small but robust non-circulating collection of printed materials for scholars of the medieval world—manuscript resources (including the Chartae Latinae Antiquiores and the Codices Latini Antiquiores), editions of primary sources (including the Patrologia Latina, the Monumenta Germaniae Historica, the Dumbarton Oaks Medieval Library, and the I Tatti Renaissance Library), lexica, reference works, and finding aids—as well as two computer work stations and meeting space for classes and seminars. The Medieval Studies Library is home to the Medieval Studies graduate workshop, which meets there on a regular basis. Access to the library is limited to Harvard faculty, students, staff, and visiting scholars. For more information, visit the library's website, or contact the Medieval Studies Program director, Sean Gilsdorf, or graduate assistant, Lydia Shahan.
