Lydia Shahan

Lydia Shahan studies the history of Christianity in medieval Europe. Her research and teaching interests focus on mystical and devotional texts, hagiography, religious experience and medieval constructions of sexed and gendered bodies. She is also interested in Middle Dutch spiritual literature. Lydia's research has been published in Comitatus (2016) and Louvain Studies (2019).

Lydia is the 2021-2022 Program Assistant in Medieval Studies, and a co-organizer of the Medieval Graduate Interdisciplinary Workshop.
