Eleanor's research focuses on late thirteenth- and early fourteenth-century illuminated manuscripts related to the output of Ramon Llull and his followers in France. More broadly this research is concerned with issues of media-learning, pedagogy and epistemology at the medieval university, looking especially at the intersections of the vernacular and the academic; of the diagrammatic and the pictorial; as well as of the book and its cognitive potential.
