Dr. Wilson's research, writing, and teaching address medieval English literature, medievalism and reception, and fanfiction and fan communities. She also is interested in queer theory and the history of sexuality, critical race theory, and the history of race, and co-founded Harvard's Premodern Race Seminar. She has been published in Speculum, Exemplaria, and Transformative Works and Cultures, and was the 2022 recipient of the Felicia Campbell Innovative Contributions to Popular Culture Studies Award.
