Marie-Luise Theuerkauf is a philologist and scholar of Celtic Studies specializing in medieval Ireland. Her research focuses on Irish topographical history (*dindshenchas*), medieval etymology and classical reception in Irish literature and culture. She has authored numerous articles on medieval Irish literature and a monograph on Ireland’s topo-mythographical corpus, *Dindshenchas Érenn* (Cork, 2023). Her current monograph project examines the interplay between topographical origin stories and concepts of Irish imperialism.
