Jeffrey McDonough is Professor of Philosophy, and an affiliate member of the Committee on Medieval Studies. His research focuses on the intersection of philosophy, religion and science in pre-modern Europe. Recent publications include studies of medieval theories of divine causation, the fate of teleology during the late medieval and early modern eras, and the metaphysical foundations of Leibniz’s physics. Prof. McDonough regularly teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on medieval philosophy and its early modern reception.
