Professor Kamali teaches criminal law and the history of English law and legal institutions. Her research focuses on the development of criminal law within the English common law tradition in the Middle Ages, in particular the evolution of the trial jury in post-Conquest England. Winner of the American Society for Legal History's Kathryn T. Preyer award for best paper by an early career scholar, Professor Kamali is the author most recently of *Felony and the Guilty Mind in Medieval England* (Cambridge University Press, 2019).
