Adam Mahler is a doctoral candidate in Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University, where he specializes in medieval Iberian literature as well as early environmental and ethnorepresentative writing. His articles have been or will be published in *PMLA, Speculum*,  *La corónica*, *Hispanic Review*, and *Journal of Medieval Iberian Studies.* He is the translator and editor of *Shem Tov Ardutiel’s* Moral Proverbs *and Other Old Castilian Poems of Jewish Authorship*, forthcoming with the Dumbarton Oaks Medieval Library at Harvard University Press.
