*Breaking the Mold: Metal as Material, Medium, and Message in the Middle Ages*, featuring a [lecture](/event/harvard-medieval-material-culture-lecture?) on Tuesday, 28 March by Professor [Ittai Weinryb](https://www.bgc.bard.edu/programs/degree-programs/faculty/ittai-weinryb.html) (Bard Graduate Center) and [two hands-on workshops](/event/medieval-metal-method-and-meanings) at the Harvard Art Museums on Thursday, 30 March led by Professor Weinryb, Francesca Bewer, Research Curator for Conservation and Technical Studies Programs at HAM, and Katherine Eremin, Patricia Cornwell Senior Conservation Scientist at HAM. This program is co-sponsored by the Harvard Art Museums, the Department of History, and the Department of History of Art and Architecture.
