# Houghton MS Lat 5: The Spring Transcription Challenge! #### calendar\_today Date and Time **March 23 - March 27, 2022** All day #### pin\_drop Location **1 Bow Street room 317 and Zoom** here arrow\_circle\_right From Wednesday 23 March to Sunday 27 March 2022, the students in Harvard's *Latin Palaeography and Manuscript Culture* course (Medieval Studies 202) will work online with a team of volunteers to create a complete transcription of [Houghton Library, MS Lat 5](https://curiosity.lib.harvard.edu/medieval-renaissance-manuscripts/catalog/34-990092921430203941). We will host an orientation session on Wednesday 3/23 from 1:30 to 2:45 pm EST, led by Dr. Laura Morreale. Participants are asked to join us in person in room 317 of Harvard's 1 Bow Street Building or online on Zoom (registration link [here](/%20https://harvard.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJItduuurzMpEtAeGVONSy8SMHAvEneH4m9s)) for an introduction to the manuscript, the digital tools we will be using for collaborative transcription, and the process and deadlines we'll be following.
