A demonstration by Pakistani musical sensation [Ali Sethi](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq8E4b6su6DdP7oNdwaWNlg) '06, with Harvard Professor Ali Asani, of the lyrical world of the ghazal, which originated in Arabia in the seventh century CE and developed into a significant literary genre in Persian, Urdu, and other South Asian languages, poetically expressing loss and romantic love and often associated with traditions of spirituality (particulary Sufism) in South Asia.
