Julian Yolles's research addresses classical and medieval Latin literature and philology, the Crusades, glosses and commentaries, and theology and rhetoric in the eleventh and twelfth centuries. He completed his dissertation "Latin Literature and Frankish Culture in the Crusader States (1098-1187)" in 2015, and currently is translating a number of Latin lives of Muhammed for the Dumbarton Oaks Medieval Library series.
